Marnie Miiller was born into the vasteness and big sky of the prairies; an artist and educator working in Victoria, British Columbia.

Welcome to my webspace.

Early in life I found the desire to explore the creative process leads to self discovery: and my training in art therapy incorporates these rejuvenating and healing aspects to my art-making. 

My passion for art is inspired by journal writing, life expereinces, and admiration for the creative spirit. My work is based on the desire to understand the intricacies and complexities in the human emotional and cultural condition; and may have a certain boldness to express the human body. 

 When my imagination is my muse, I enjoy using simple elements of color and form stimulated by accidents on the canvas. At times it is the power of words that are connected to this tactile process of art-making, and then the piece becomes a method of recording my own story. 

I work in various media including watercolor, acrylic, photography and printmaking,and handmade paper. 

Aspirations for my work is to make art which invites the viewer into my vision; and perhaps provides a moment of calm, or a platform to quesion our choices as a community. 

 I have exhibited in a variety of venues, and it particularly pleases me to see my work in care homes, and private collections.
